Your elaboration on the activation process is very clear indeed. Thanks.

However, I am quite certain that I followed such steps when I downloaded z709 two weeks ago. So far I have never had the "red border" on the coverart wallpaper (with attended playback).

Last night, I copied and pasted activation code and followed the steps again without a successful activation. I can even choose appointment scheme 3 though which is an activated feature in previous version of XXHE. In conclusion,I think  the "red border" is the only indication for a successful activation. Without this PA will not be operational.

My question to you Alain, which version of z7 that you had a successful activation. Is it the one on the download page in this forum? If so I will start all over again. But do I need to do the system restore to bring back a "clean" stage.

Watch that check box carefully. It says "IPhase" = Invert Phase.

Ok Mani,

I recalled this instruction and followed it but never got the red border. I did not pay attention to the color border before.

I will wait for Peter comment.

I have the yellow border too. However I can choose appointment scheme 3 which is only available with activation. Do I miss anything?

Which version of z7 beta that you experimented with before the official release?  Mine is z709 which does not have the check box : "allow phase alignment". I guess Peter blocked PA feature in 709. When I first played around with it I thought I had it engaged until I noticed that I always had this _~_ on the cover art.

I understand that OSK doesn't work on laptop.  Still rely on touch pad working in the generic XXHE GUI if only laptop in use.

Hi Peter,

Lots of materials to read. I skimmed through them and found to be very informative and well written. 

Now it unveiled something that I couldn't imagine (or I might miss it somewhere in the forum) but it is crystal clear for me now as to the RDC chain : Audio PC -> BlueTooth -> Intermediate PC -> WiFi -> Remote. This is why we need a pair of bluetooth dongles. 

The problem is that I did not get the dongle software driver by mail from you. I received those dongles for quite some time already. 

The Phase Alignment piece is very interesting and I found that during my test of this new feature I hardly had it engaged even though I set the digital volume as high as -9 db. I did get the sign *~* once but never come back again. I have never got any plop so far. So not sure that I ever gets it engaged.

I am sure this feature will be widely discussed in a dedicated topic. I wonder if this is "Nobel" feature we are talking about?

I don't think any beta testers out there have tried the remote features.

I am now still trying to understand the impact of sound quality offered by the new "phase" feature. I feel I get a tighter controlled bass with an experimental setting (see my sig below). But not sure yet.
