Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Re: ShowCoverart error message about ImageSize.Height

Peter, in version 0.9x-5 the error message problem is virtually gone. The message still pops up, but disappears again automatically in split second. I can live with that behaviour. BTW: I followed your instructions with a new Music Root, and that seems to work too - in a way (sometimes I can recreate it, sometimes not - with the same track/picture). Weird.
Thanks, Eric.

Peter, all my pictures are of type .jpg, and the errormessage occurs for every album or track I play. It happens regardless of the size of the picture (360x360, or 500x500, or larger).
The exact sequence is: 1) Start XXHE. If a picture of a previous session is still there, the error occurs right away. 2) Using Library, select a track and Play Unattended. 3) While playing, restart XXHE (to resume control) and the error occurs.
I hope this helps. Eric. BTW it did not happen with previous versions of XXHE !

Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / ShowCoverart error message about ImageSize.Height

Peter, I am getting the following error message when starting or stopping XXHE:
ShowCoverart De waarde van 0 is niet geldig voor ImageSize.Height. ImageSize.Height moet tussen 1 en 256 liggen. Parameternaam: ImageSize
When I click OK, the message disappears. It is not a drama, just a bit annoying. I set the value for Width of Show Wallpaper equal to 800, this fits nicely to my screen.
I hope this helps, Eric.

Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Activation after reinstall of Vista

on: March 04, 2009, 10:39:06 am

Hello Peter,
Unfortunately, I had to reinstall Vista (and everything else) on my system. Now my XXHE activation code does not seem to work anymore. How to fix it ? Note: I did copy a backup of the file XXHighEnd1xx.DAT into the newly created XXHighEnd folder.
Cheers, Eric.

Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Re: Progress bar problem with 0.9w-5

Right Peter. Is it correct that the pointer does not move in Unattended mode ? And that it does move when not in Unattended mode ?
BTW both processor usage and memory behave very stable now. Almost all the load is taken care of by processor 1. Just very little load goes to processor 2. I have limited the memory to 600MB and that seems to work fine so far. Cheers and thanks, Eric.

Okay Peter, let me try again. Here is the sequence of events. I bring up XXHE while playing Unattended.. I move the cursor with the mouse to the slidebar pointer. I leftclick the mouse and drag the cursor+pointer 2cm to the right by holding the left mousebutton down. At soon as I start doing this, the music stops. Now I release the mouse. The pointer jumps to the left (beginning of the slide bar) and the music resumes playing from the point where it was originally interrupted.
If I perform the same operation not in Unattended mode, the music starts from the new location (instead of the original one). Just like I wanted it do do. It follows my intuition.
It feels like bringing up XXHE takes a snapshot of the position but without really transfering control to the pointer/slidebar. If I leave the newly brought-up XXHE open until the end of the playlist, another window with XXHE appears at the closing time. So I end up with 2 copies in that case.
Cheers, Eric.

Peter, the situation occurs when I play vanilla WAV files (I haven't tested CUE files yet). What happens if I reopen XXHE during Unattended playback is that the pointer in the slidebar shows the current position of the file playing, however the pointer is not moving.. When I move the pointer manually, it automatically resumes its start position. And after a short pause, the music continues where it stopped. NOTE I was monitoring Windows Task Management - Physical Memory. It is showing a dip in memory allocation at the time of this event. I hope this helps. Cheers, Eric.

Another observation in 09w-5. Perhaps memory management related as well ? When I play in unattended mode and I open XXHE again to move the progress slidebar at the bottom to a new position withing the track, l experience unexpected behaviour. It used to work quite comfortable in previous versions. Cheers, Eric.

Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Re: OutOfMemoryException error in 09w-5

With 09w-5, I observe the following behaviour. During playback of a (pretty long) album, it occurs to me that the physical memory used is increasing steadily until it reaches over 90%. Subsequently Engine3 crashes. In addition I notice that occasionally between 2 tracks a very short moment of another track is played. I hope that this feedback helps in finding and repairing the cause of the error. BTW, SQ is excellent ! Eric.

Hi Peter, Every time I start and stop XXHE, a new ChangeWP process is added to the list of running processes. In addition, the wallpaper does not appear. I am on the newest Versions. Any advise ? Cheers, Eric.
