Title: XX 2.02 Reboot error
Post by: juanpmar on June 22, 2015, 03:09:51 pm
Peter,

When reboot (right click in Stop button) appears an error:

ChangeWP.exe. Application error.

The application failed to start properly (Oxc0000142). Click Accept to close it.

After a few seconds it disappears and the pc reboots normally. Not sure if it is important or not but just in case...

Juan

Yes Juan, thank you. I have it too and I think everybody has it.

I regard it unimportant although I wonder where it comes from (it is a W10 thing). At least you were able to make a screenshot of it. Haha.

I suppose this happens when you reboot via XXHighEnd, right ?

Peter

Thank you guys.

I'm sure it is something with Windows 10, but it is also an indication that I do something there which should not be done at all. So I will look into it !

Regards,
Peter

I am using Alt-F4 (RDC) and that works without error... minOS

It pops up a menu where you can select to sign off, shut down or reboot...

I just tried it on a W8.1 and there it works too (first put all the active programs to the taskbar).

Never too old to learn ...

Alt+f4 works but in my computer it makes it just faster. The error message still appears but in this case only for tenths of second.
