Title: New fix gives me error:file length 0

and check for full disk. But the disk is not full and I just tried to play the files that I played before. And some other music, same problem.

Any ideas on how to proceed ?

I think this happens when you have more than one album in the PlayList area and for at least one of them (maybe it needs both) the Normalize Volume process has to be applied (for the first time). So, do you indeed use that ?

Btw, I see no relation to any "new fix", thus, is that really the case ?
(but when the above is true you don't need to test it, and the actual (first) message coming from it will be something about "Caller : NV")

?

Just one album, which played perfectly before the latest downloaded bug-fixing file. I don't use normalizing of the volume, but will check whether I accidently switched it . (no, i did not)

All I did was downloading the two zip'files, followed your instruction to the letter, then tried to play the same music as before the upgrade and then: error message

I will do the install again and see what happens

Redid the installation: And it works again, received some nasty windows remarks which I don't care to repeat but I HAVE MUSIC AGAIN

Leo,
what do you mean by "Redid the installation"?
What exactly did you reinstall?

Cheers,
Eric

I didn't respond to it anymore, but I am fairly sure this is about mixing up two XX versions. I mean, an XXHighEnd.exe and XXEngine3.exe which don't belong to eachother.
This happens easily when you upgrade to the same folder always (or this time).

This is encouraged for by the 0.9z-6-1c XXHighEnd version, while really goes along with the 0.9z-6-1 (and *that* should be both in the same folder). So, paste 0.9z-6-1c over the original 0.9z-6 folder, and it won't work (most probably with this error).

I downloaded the two last xx zips and unzipped them into the same XX Highend folder as I used before. Nothing special, except for the music of course :)

Leo, was this when it did not work, or when it started to work again (sorry for the maybe stupid question, but it isn't clear). Or IOW, can you by now determine what the difference is in happenings between it not and do working.

The above is the way I got working properly again without error message. But the first time I also intended to it that way. Whether I made an error the first time by using the wrong version I cannot tell.
Sorry, this will remain a mystery :)
