Title: 9z-2 gui not appearing issue
Post by: boleary on June 27, 2010, 12:58:39 pm
With all 9z versions, including 2, the gui very occasionally fails to appear when I use the alt/x command during unattended playback. The taskbar will reappear and XX will appear in the taskbar, music will continue to play, but the gui will not appear. Sometimes I can right click on XX in the task bar and hit close, then hit alt/x again and the gui will reappear, but usually this won't work and I have to reboot to get the gui back. (Don't know if the gui would reappear if I just let the playlist finish, will find out next time it happens.)  Since I'm the only one who has reported this problem I'm beginning to assume it's my system not having sufficient resources. Anyone else out there had this happen?

I dare say this happens to anyone, but how often it happens may vary - and I don't know what that depends on.
A reboot may help, but I sure never used that as a solution;

Click on the taskbar icon several times, so you see the form go the left and from the left back to the taskbar again; When it is on the taskbar (so, the last time you saw it coming from the left), then close it, and restart XX. It may still take you 3 or 4 times, but eventually you will succeed.

I must say that during normal playback it never bothers me, but during development and testing all the more.
Yes, it is really annoying, and I *will* solve it for the next version (I already tried hard, but just didn't manage thus far).

:sorry:
Peter

PS: I changed the title for clarity for others (and yes, you are the third reporting this :)).
