Then start all the wau up !
Haha

I have no problem with it, but I guess it depends on the "feel" of when to move it (again). Do it twice while the first "command" is not processed yet, and things may go wrong. I'm always looking at the WallPaper "info" to see whether the command has been processed.

Should be more decent of course !

Hello Peter,

I have the same problem, and allready had it before the new dac that I will tell you about later :). In unattended volume change by  alt U  (only once !) gives the 'zandloper' but than nothing happens, not in minutes , not even when the next song starts. Only when I do something like alt X I immediately get the volume change from the orginal alt U command.

So that is a nice problem for you to think about in these quiet days before Christmas :)

In the mean time I am enjoying my NOS DAC enormously !

best regards,

Leo

Can you (both) try and look in advance (!!) if an XXHighEnd.exe instance is running ? Of course, with Attended it will always, but with Unattended it should not. If so (Unattended) try to imagine what you do or did that this instance is there.

When it was not there, and you use e.g. Alt-u (only once) it should work. If not, you'd see XXHighEnd.exe running.

I must honestly say that sometimes it doesn't work here either. But that would be 1 out of 50 times ...

Btw, what is your Thread Priority ?

Hello Peter,

after ending xx  there is no xxhighend.exe in  the processes (in taskmanager). Then I start XX again and before I start the music allready I find xxhighend.exe*32.

Also when i start out with unattended the volume control does not work

But please solve the more important issues before you spend time on this

Leo

When music is playing (Unattended), there should be no XXHighEnd.exe there. Is there ?
After Alt-u, and looking 10 seconds later, is there ?

Thread Priority ?

Hard to answer questions eh ? haha

So ... I still don't have the answer. Anyway Gerard, in your cae you bring up XX to change the volume. This should work, but is not what I'm asking for. Again :

After Alt-u, and looking 10 seconds later, is there ?

Not less and certainly not more (like starting XXHighEnd).

?

When i play music the situation in like the screenshot above.

So yes xxhighend is there! But with that 32 behind it. (See screenshot above)

After pressing ALT\U and waiting 10 sec still it there. (See screenshot above)

I would say this "prooves" that XXHighEnd is on the screen already, hence or you are not playing Unattended at all, or you brought it up to change the volume (and next use Alt-u to do that).

With Unattended there is no such thing as a GUI ...

There is something strange going on.

Playing XX Unattended on Ramdisk it did not work. Just no sound. but also no error's come up.

Playing XX Unattended on SSD XX shows a message that i had to install autohotkey first before wanting to play Unattended.

So it looks like playing on ramdisk makes the message not apear. And XX react normal with loading files and disapearing. But no sound
 ;)

Yes ... but this time you are dealing with two different settings sets (because you use two different XX installs, no matter they are from the same version). So, in the case there's no sound as you say, you will have set "Do not start playback". And now you have to use Alt-P for that (or change that setting).

AutoHotkey message the same (or similar). Change (used) installs, and it will come up with the message.

Peter just to let you know that with W7 there is no problem what so ever with the volume. Now i can even make 4 steps without a problem. With Vista it was one step wait 10 sec and than again one or it wil hang.
