Title: Canīt change the xQ1 factor to 2
Post by: juanpmar on January 03, 2013, 07:03:16 pm
I canīt change the Q1 factor to 2 and neither to other values like 4, 6, 9, 11..., it jumps from 1 to 3 when I move the slide bar, the wheel in the mouse doesnīt work either to change values.

Jaun hi,

Try clicking in the setting number to highlight the q1 factor control on screen then use the left and right arrow keys on you keyboard to nudge the number up and down one value at a time.

Hope that helps.

Cheers,

Nick

Thanks Nick now it works but I receive this message: Your SFS is too low to allow Unattended Playback!...

I see others that are using this setting, I mean SFS 2, Q1:14 and xQ1:2

I used to get a message like that about the SFS, and can't precisely remember any longer what I did to make it go away.  Maybe the buffer size?  Mine is 512.  On the other hand, others are using 4096 along with SFS of 2 and Q1 multiplier >1, so I don't know....

I think I saw the same the other day. Change Q1 a bit ...
I'm not sure whether this is a plain bug or that I don't understand my own math anymore ...

PS: And notice that Q1=28 and Q1F=1 is the same as Q1=14 and Q1F=2. So my idea about changing Q1 somewhat implies a factor of 2 changed. That may not be what you intended ...

Q1=28/xQ1=1 receives the same message as Q1=14/xQ1=2:

Your SFS is too low to allow Unattended Playback!
The equation is that 3670016 to be smaler than 2000000

Iīd like to know from others playing with Q1=14 and xQ1=2 without problem.

I get the same message, but when I close XXHE and start again I don't get the message and I can play with SFS 2, Q1:14 and xQ1:2.

But it introduces a "crack" after a few seconds in the first track which scares the sh*t out of me. So its SFS 2, Q1:14 and xQ1:1 for now.

If I choose Q1F=2, I blue screen in ancient Vista.  I've not reported this because a) vista, and b) old settings sound great.  I reserve bug reports only to those things I prioritize as essential for a joyful experience.

Thanks charliemb, it is impossible for me to use Q1=14/xQ1=2 so I use Q1=14/xQ1=1 and the sound is great. The latest change Iīm trying is the Buffer Size at 8ms, as Tore suggested, and Iīm finding a fantastic sound.

Best regards,
Juan

Juan

Above, did you mean 8ms or 8KB?

Hi charliemb,

In the Phasure USB Audio Control Panel the USB Buffer Size can be set at 8ms. But this is only for the ones with the Phasure NOS1 dac.
