Title: Optimal Tweak
Post by: Leo on March 15, 2013, 01:49:28 pm
Hi Peter,

I am not sure about the optimal tweak setting working correctly. When I select it and go to minimised I get 'wait' in the small new window. After that I get the warning that my processor will run at 99,7 % of nominal speed. I continue but when monitoring with HWMonitor temperatures stay low but also power consumption (about 8 watt). From before I know that higher values on BL give much higher power usage (50 watt and up). Also on cpu-usage I stay with just 1 %. Is this all ok in your opinion or a mistake in my settings (very well possible, I know) or something is not working correctly with your latest XX (also possible :) )

best regards,
Leo

Hi Leo,

Consider this to be okay. It depends on the processor. So, with my normal Audio PC (which I use now) it may make 3 or 4 degrees difference up to 0 difference when waiting somewhat. This is because the CPU cooling fan will catch up easily.

The usage you see is unrelated.

The frequency you see reported is as expected when you didn't under or overclock.

Now listen ...

Peter
