Title: Still POP at album end with 0.9z-7-3
Post by: Arjan on September 17, 2012, 10:27:29 pm
Hello,
I upgrade first to 0.9z-7-2 and got a small pop at the end of an album with PA activated. I use no upsampling so was it activated?
I upgraded to 0.9z-7-3 and the pop is still there. Maybe even a bit louder! Not sure if I could solve this the Fade-out step?

I really like the sound of 0.9z-7-3, a big step-up from the already very good 0.9z-6-1.

As you can see my computer is a very simple Netbook. But it works fine for me because I do not need upsampling (I think) because that is done in the NAD M51 dac. It is only a bit slow especially with larger 24/192 files!

kind regards, Arjan

Hi there Arjan and welcome here !

There are too many variations (not working properly ?) that I rather not comment; Hopefully the upcoming 0.9-z7-4 will solve a few things. So please wait for that, okay ?

Thanks ....
Peter

Hello Peter,

Thanks for the fast reaction!
Yes, I can wait.

I have read some other threads talking about buffer sizes. Could be that my limited PC is also an issue here....

kind regards, Arjan

Alan, I summarized it somewhat here : Re: Is PA Engaging?  (http://www.phasure.com/index.php?topic=2264.msg23050#msg23050)

Hi Peter,

Thank you, that makes it more clear.
I use native, no upsampling --> NO PA, but end pops!
That is really nice, because I already love the sound.....more to look forward to!

I will wait for the 7-4 release!

kind regards, Arjan
