Hi Peter, FYI: I had the same message on W10 with demo version(s) - both, 2.06 and 2.07. It is related to XXHE automatic shut down after certain period of time. Clicking on message kills XXHE main window. Kind od semi-automatic shut-down Brgds, George

Hi Peter,
You know I was asking about your isolator few months ago. Since it is not clear to me, let's have it cleared: Do I have to send NOS1 to you or isolator will be available for purchase & shipment? No matter when available, first batch or later one(s).
Brgds, George

Just as I predicted... And you know what? Peter is not telling, but he has built huge underwater glass wall at the basement of his house. Sitting there, listening nice meditative music and studying Carp's habits... -'OK Paul', says to his son over walkie-talkie, -'Now change that Hayabusa #2 hook to Gamakatsu #4.' -'Later on we'll return to our good ol'e Mustad's...'

Huh, For me is confusing why XXHE 'digs' further than basic directory/folder with music tracks, looking for album's photo. This is something like Carp fishing: very smart fish, not easy to understand behavior and get on hook! Little joke of course. I'm not activating field "ShowData" and as you commented - black letters, I even cannot see the text. Only when mouse hovers above, I see the help for it (my XXHE visual setting enclosed). 'ShowData' has not much function for me since I listen music in Unattended mode and photo's / PDF's are always available - they are physically situated on other PC and I use RDC. Above album I received only recently and for the moment it sits in own (sub)directory of directory called something like "NEW STUFF FOR AUDITION". It is temporary place for arranging naming structure, album's photo and for first listening. If album is OK, it is moved to final destination (music collection), otherwise it finishes in trash bin. Tried again: by using button "Explore' and selecting the track #1 (from directory I sent to you) I again see back+front photo from sub-dir. Quit & restart XXHE and now I see chosen song and correct photo. As for the Library, mu music root is directory with meta-data made through XXHE since physically files reside on several HDD's. Thank you Peter, waiting for 2.07 version. George

Hi Piter,
The 'wrong' photo shows up in the left pane and is standard .jpg file. For me it's quite easy to repeat the error, which I just did. Actually it is the album where I noticed this happening for the first time: I have an album of Keb' Mo' - 'Suitcase' with photo 'Folder.jpg' of 600x600px I created from larger photo named 'Front.jpg' that sits in sub-directory called "scans". This I practice for all CD's.
Using embedded explorer I brows for the music, open the one I want and voila, with this (rather large 'Front.jpg', sitting in sub-directory) I've got a small preview of it and XXHE took several seconds, mouse pointer changed to hourglass and even the message (in window header) 'XXHE stopped working' like any app that stops responding. After a few seconds XXHE finishes import, everything is back to normal except I get this 'wrong' photo shown in the left pane.
How I know it is the 'wrong' one? Because 'Front.jpg' (large one, from sub-directory) shows front + back side of CD's booklet and this is what I get, both front & back side of CD. Of course now the photo is not square but some 'cinemascope' style, rather small in height. Have made logging active but no 'fresh' logs exist at all, at least not in 'TemporaryData' folder.
Renaming this photo from sub-directory to anything else, like 'Frontt.jpg' brings correct photo in the left pane and XXHE finishes album import much, much faster, no hourglass etc.

Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Album art - 'Front' or ''Folder' album's photo name?

Hi Peter,
Recently noticed that XXHE (2.06a on W10586) prefer showing files named "Front.jpg" even if that file is in sub-folder while standard (at least for me) file "Folder.jpg" exists in directory with music tracks. Is this change in SW code, to firstly look for files named 'Front' then 'Folder' or 'Cover' etc. ?
Thanks &
Brgds, George

Hi Tore,
Pls try foll: Remove IEC power cord from NOS1 for a minute or two then plug it back. Power on NOS1. Looking through the slits at NOS1's left 'leg' there should be visible green light from small LED. If there's no LED lit, USB/I2S receiver needs repair. How this could occur (with Intona isolator in place) is really a mystery...

Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Re: XXHE 2.06 ChangeWP error

Hi Anthony,
I had the same situation with copy/paste new files over 2.04 on my AudioPC but did not choose 'Cancel' button even I was aware that 'ChangeWP' was not executed. My upgrade went under 'normal' W10 (re-booted from minimized). Returning to minimized W10 brought the same info/warning message again. However, this time, clicking 'Run' successfully called and executed 'ChangeWP.exe'. Few more errors appeared - all related to my re-named XXHE directory, from 2.04 to 2.06. And yes, borders of this info/warning window were in XXHE style, not Win style.

Hi Tore, The easiest way is creating so called "GodMode" directory. Once created, you'll be able to see Control Panel functions and of course, be able to change the system date / time. Enable God Mode: 1. Make sure your system account has administrative privileges. 2. Right-click on the Windows 10 desktop and choose New > Folder. 3. Name the folder: GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} and hit enter/return to make it stick. That's it Brgds, George

... EDIT: I have to ask, why won't Method 1 work? (Best not to touch Regedit unless necessary, eh?)
Hi again Paul. It is better and I could even say 'obligatory' logging in with password. Not so important for 'audioPC' itself, however, you have your music stored on other PC/NAS/USB/etc. 'storage' and without authenticated login, XXHE will not be able to write meta-data info in such music folders. Plus, you will not be able to fully control files / folders from 'audioPC' (via RDC). Practical meaning: if you decide f.e. to change or resize some album photo, you will not have sufficient rights on remote HDD's. You will not be able to create new folder, change name or delete existing one's. All things you normally do via 'Windows Explorer'

Ultimate Audio Playback / Your thoughts about the Sound Quality / Re: How to install Tidal in the Music Server Pc

Hi Juan, you need to play some music from HDD before Tidal streaming "... Load one or two tracks in the Playlist Area and play one in Attended Mode for a short while; Watch the blue 'XXHighEnd' in the title bar of the XX user interface; Quit XXHighEnd and Restart XXHighEnd; Again start Playback. Once more quit XXHighEnd and Restart XXHighEnd; The title bar now shows 'XXHighEnd' in red when Activation succeeded. ..."
