Oops, I just saw that the [ B ]'s didn't work out well. I corrected it, but I guess you already understood.

Hi Anthony,

Bring forward the Tidal directory and click the [ B ](ookmark) button at the bottom. If you now use the [ B ] button in the left with the Library Area active, you go back to that "bookmark". This lasts as long as you don't Bookmark again.

Today (2.08) this is better streamlined (I forgot where exactly, but quite a few things have improved in this area).

Also notice that when you use Galleries - them normally residing on an SSD for speed - you better point the Bookmark to the \Tidal\ (by you appointed) Gallery because this is much faster. So, I noticed myself tat I always have to wait for disk wake up (where the Tidal Preps are), while also all from Tidal goes to the appointed Tidal directory. But, appoint it indeed or otherwise nothing happens with it.
You seem to refer to similar, but maybe not because this (Tidal to that Gallery) goes automatic and this thus always at your service.

Regards,
Peter

Hi Anthony,

It shouldn't be a problem if SQ is allowed to degrade - it is on my ToDo since about January, but the time is lacking sofar. Of course we can imagine that this is so, but at this moment it would hold up 2.08 while I can hardly find time to finish that to begin with.

Best regards,
Peter

PS: Good that you got that pre-amp to work in good fashion !

I am especially interested in how the Lush behaves in the bass department.

Anyone who feels he has a good idea about the bass, please go ahead.
I say this because AmusedToD (and also all of you) may think that I am going to answer this. But I am b(i)ased, so I stay quiet.

Hi there,

Can I expect the Lush to sound better (more natural/musical) than the Curious?

Maybe you saw on CA that a first who also owns a Curious (BigalMc) received his Lush a couple of hours ago. I'd wait for his judgment ?

I don't think there will be a real difference between the various lengths. What is out sofar is 70, 100 and 150 cm. I myself use 100cm (3ft).

If you want to go ahead with it anyway then please send me an email (sales phasure com) with your address details. OK ?

Best regards,
Peter

1597  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Re: data not coming fast enough & cannot connect with endpoint on: July 20, 2017, 11:55:48 am
Leung,

Can it be that you loaded too many files in the Playlist Area, play via a RAMDisk and that the memory of that was full ? I mean, we know that the RAMDisk we use for it generally does not protect in good fashion from running full. And once you're out of memory, all things can happen.

Anyway, fingers crossed !

Peter

Hi,

It was just pointed out to me that the chapter with the prices in the first post do not mention that this is excluding VAT. And indeed I always mention it but here it was forgotten.
The line is there now.

Hi Matt,

Not that I know of. Everybody sofar has 70cm, 100cm or 150cm.

Kind regards,
Peter

And Leung,

cannot connect to end point and unknown harddisc error?

I don't think I recognize any error message saying something about an endpoint. So what is this message exactly ? and is this "unknown harddisc error" in the same message, or another ? if the latter what is the exact sequence ?

After reading your post a few more times, it feels like something is really broken in one of the PC's. Can you determine which one that would be ?

Hi Leung,

Apart from general harddisk error, it would be typical that you did either of the following :

Not taking explicit precautions at formatting the disk so it would be able to store more than 2TB. This would typically go wrong at a next reboot. So at first all the data is there and can be accessed, but after a reboot at least all beyond 2TB is lost and I guess general errors can come from that just the same.

Not noticing the small popup which comes to you when the disk is first accessed (I'd say after the first boot of the PC with it in it). This small popup (really not obvious) tells you to reboot so the driver will be installed properly (similar). If you don't do that, all is lost and it is very hard to recover from. What I recall of such a situation is that you just can't write beyond 2TB and I don't know what happens further.

Use the disk in a USB attached fashion.
It depends largely on the USB device, but this is doomed to fail.

I'm sure this won't help you, but I hope it does after all.
Also don't forget the general failure of this disk, which is also possible (but not likely).

Regards,
Peter

Thank you Henning.

We'll glue the ends together so it will roll nicely.
Plus it is something else for a change.

I recently traded my T+A DAC8 DSD for a Pink Faun dac2.32. The Pink Faun does not (yet) have USB in but using the Wavelink USB --> spdif converter does give a very nice result, almost as good as i2s. USB chain consists of Jcat femto + hdplex lps, Intona industrial, Regen + Sonore lps. I wonder if the Lush can replace the Intona and Regen?

Hi Kobus,

Let me say that generally that won't work out. This is because each has its own objective/target. But, this is the general answer. Many other more specific answers are possible. Let me try a few :

The cable changes the sound so much for less digital, that the JCat card doesn't help any more.

The cable changes the sound so much for less digital, that the Regen could make it worse. I said could (and this is based upon about all of us in here that it does, as long as you can hear sufficiently deep into the music).

The Intona got out of most systems with Phasure users, just because of the latest Operating System (Windows, W10 Build 14393.0). Is this related to the USB Cable ? well, actually Yes because if the cable is sufficiently transparent, you can hear better how the Intona "processes". Btw, same for the Regen.

I'm afraid you just need to try. And in addition to that I would never sell any of those components if you're settled without all of them. You never know what the future brings. Same advice I have for everyone in here with the Clairixa cable, which is the technical better one. What does it do ? it lets you hear "digital" better. Hmm. But what if a next OS is inherently better on USB and the digital is not so much there at all ? well, once you'd observe that, you will always like to try the Clairixa again.

Hope this helps you a little !
