Title: What's in a name?
Post by: Eric on October 23, 2011, 09:16:09 pm
Peter,
I have a folder called Dvořák. In the folder I have put several albums (folders) like Dvořák - Piano Trio's etcetera.
Now if I click on the Dvořák folder in the embedded Explorer, instead of seeing the Dvořák albums in the middle pane, I get an error message: could not find part of the path.

I solved the problem by renaming (and recreating the corresponding Galleries) the Dvořák folder to: Dvorák. And everything works fine. Please note that the Dvořák - Piano Trio's Album still has the "ř" character in it without causing any problem.

Would it be possible to have XXHE supporting Dvořák ?
But if not, I can live with Dvorák.

Cheers,
Eric

Hi Eric,

So what you are saying is that in

\Dvorak\Dvorak - Piano Trio's\

only the first \Dvorak\ needs the adjustment ?

I suppose clicking on the + to expand the folder is no problem ?
And what happens when the folder is expanded and then you click on one of the album folders like \Dvorak - Piano Trio's\ ? I suppose that will go as wrong ?

Peter

Correct.
And it is no problem to expand the folder.

Correct again. (2x)

Now something interesting happened after expanding the folder: the problem disappears. It looks like I first have to expand to have XXHE find the path !?

Cheers,
Eric
