Hi there,

When you run XXHighend.exe for the first time, s amll install should be presented, and it looks that here something went wront (but it is a bit of a long shot);
In your Configuration - software/programs should be a "Phasure" entry. If not, that is the cause. If so, better uninstall that, and next run the Install.exe which will be in your XXHighEnd folder. Please pay attention to the following process, and whether something goes wrong or strange.
If all goes right then you could try to start XXHighEnd.exe again and try whether "it" helped.

If this all doesn't help I'm not sure at the moment what our next step will be. But let me know in either case.
Good luck for now,
Peter

Ok, I think what is in here may solve it for you too : Re: cannot run as administrator anymore (http://www.phasure.com/index.php?topic=1334.msg12150#msg12150). In brief for now this comes down to disabling UAC.

But maybe you already did ...

Can you let me know ?
Thanks,
Peter

Dzjee, I am sorry for your problems, and at this moment I don't know how to help.

In Control Panel there's "Add or Remove Programs" (or something which is called similar) and in there Phasure should be listed.

Ok, what happens if you install 0.9y-8 ?
I think I can promise you that will work. You will have a few features less (and the old GUI), but at least it will get you going. Then after that (you will be happily playing) we can look into this issue with some easy.
Is that an idea ?

Thanks,
Peter

PS: But did you disable UAC ?

hi peter , its a very very bad news for me.. the 0.9 y-8 version seems doesnt work too ! :(  i really dont know whats going on in my systems... the UAC has been disabled since the first time i try to install.. im afraid that i missed some installation step..

this is what ive been through:

- extract the xxhighend mode
-put in the folder (that u have mentioned)
-disable the UAC
-install the phasure(OCX)
- Run the XXhighend. (doesnt work)

optional:
-ive uninstalled and reinstall the net framework  3.5 SP1 (kb963707), framework 3.5 (kb 951487), framework 4 (kb 982670) using windows vista basic sp2.

i have tried all the Xxhe mode.. and NO ONE seems to work.. please tell me if theres something that i  missed or uncorrect

thx

Hmm ... you must have something special going on indeed.

I assume you don't have any laptop or whatever laying around, just to try it on there ? nah ... then you would have done that already.

Ok. Do you have time tomorrow so we can sort it out by means of a debug version you'll receive from me ?
I don't know what time zone you're in, but here it is 12:15pm now and we could start at (my) 7am. On my part we'll continue till we drop, if only you want that, and have some time to be behind the PC all the time (me adjusting things for you in the mean time).
We'd do that by email.

Two other questions in the mean time :

1. Did you ever see the GUI at all ?
2. What processor/PC/OS do you have ?

But am I right you're from Australia ?

Ok, I will send an email to the address known to the forum, but later, and by that time you will be sleeping. Then tomorrow at 7am my time we will continue. So for you that is 5,5 hours earlier then it is now. Ok ?

Btw, I have been Googling for the error codes, but all I find is your post. :)
