Title: Esi Juli soundcard trouble
Post by: dsm on October 03, 2013, 11:47:15 pm
Hello,

I just installed a Juli sound card and anything over 44100 sounds completely awful. Very staticy and impossible to listen to. I don't know if I have a bad card or there is something I am obviously overlooking. It has the newest drivers but I have been spending hours on this and can't make any improvement.

If anyone has had any experience with this, please let me know.

Hi,

Can you still find the v1.21 driver ? This always worked here.
If you can't find that, maybe you can find v1.07. This is newer than v1.21 (so don't mind the numbering) but you couln't exploit full Vista/W7 capabilities with it. That too worked OK for sound though.

Regards,
Peter

PS: If you need a new one ... we still have 20 or so of them hanging around for (each) 110 euros ex VAT and shipping.

Thanks Peter. I installed v1.07 because I have Windows 7 but that did not work either. When I test the sound on the Windows device settings, it will work fine up to 24 bit, 48000 hz then after that I get a static and tinny sound. Once it gets up to 192000, the test sounds slows and get lower but still have a strange static.
I think I will try to exchange card for a one.

Best,

David

David, strange. Of course a card can be at fault but we neever noticed that with even one of them (they were in the first NOS1 version).
