can you get the PC with the modded ATX LPSU and Silverstone USB card for the best sound quality?  Have I forgotten anything?   :) :)

I hope you still could find your own post, now split into a separate topic in the "XXHighEnd PC" board.

The Silverstone card is a tough one (at times) because I often see it End Of Life etc. while this as often appears not to be true. Silverstone must have a strange distribution channel.
Anyway please notice : Phasure never formally sold the Silverstone card. But of course it can be obtained (when available), built in and passed on (say custom spec).

Here you beat with with something I am unaware of;
"The modded LPSU" ? which ?? Or are you maybe referring to the one I had at over here on behalf of a customer which I sent out for completely unknown "modding" of possible obscure kind and which takes 6 weeks per promise and which by now is extended to 8 and still 4 to go ?
No ... These are unworkable jobs as they are done by someone apparently in between all possible more important jobs and the 10th person for something like that has to wait for 2 years.

I still have one left from such a "project". Waited for 8 months, received it, did not work, and after two months throughput of co-working with the "supplier" I had to give up because I had better things to do.
But formally "we" still work on something (Investigating a full linear PSU for the XXHE PC and NOS1 (http://(http://www.phasure.com/index.php?topic=2726.0)) and although it is not visible, things *are* going on.

But maybe you referred to something else ... :)

Peter

Yes, I was referring to the one you had on behalf of a customer.  I believe your ultimate conclusion was that it was beneficial to the sound quality.
It sounds like you are working on a full linear power supply.  Really looking forward to hearing more about that when it becomes 'visible'.  I'm just waiting for that piece to become part of the Chronos!

Cheers,
Dave
