Title: Settings Problem
Post by: Scroobius on December 20, 2009, 09:44:29 pm
Hi Peter

I have corruption problems (specifically in unattended mode the album information is not being shown on the screen). Before when I have had problems I deleted everything and started with a scratch install to solve the problem.

I am now trying the same again. I delete everything (the complete xx directory) and then reinstall the software from scratch. However now when I reinstall it the software is finding its previous set up information from somewhere along with the corruption problems.

Given that I have deleted all xx files and directories where would it be picking up the setup information from?

All the best

P

This should be (explained) in here : How to delete a misbehaving ConfigFile (http://www.phasure.com/index.php?topic=709.0)

But I wonder how *that* can solve the corruptions you see.
I can imagine though that these things can happen when you mixed up files from versions ... but you eliminated that for a reason by "reinstalling" everything.

Keep in mind that there is no such thing as a real install. It's just a folder with files you put there.

Let me know what happens with the link I gave !
Peter
