Title: Version 9m-1....wow!
Post by: BertD on October 10, 2007, 11:06:46 pm
Not just that it is non-stop playing now (finally!) but mostly for the perceived quality improvements over the previous versions...

There was always some sort of layer on top of the sound, something making the sound less natural and more "dynamic" (edgy?) than the music actually was. Hardly to imaging if you did not listen to this latest version but now the apparent layer is completely gone opening the sound, showing the real details and a lot more of them too!

Cymbals do not sound more "metallical" than they should, applause on live recordings do not hit the ears (even showing a bigger crowd than I was used before).

Less noise and a lot more music shining through

I would be amazed if you can find more improvements than what you have today.  :thankyou:

Bert

Hey Bert,

You know how much I appreciate it when it's coming from your mouth as a great critisizer, so thank you very much.
But I also want to thank you for making it possible to *hear* all, through a set of great amps and speakers ... yours.

A funny thing is, it was only last week when me and my wife very explicitly told to eachother that we would not know how SQ could be improved since we perceived it as "real live" or better, at comparing/listening through stage digital mangling which already sounds worse after amplifying. But then last weekend came, and it happened again; a not so minor improvement.

I'm afraid it will not end here. :) At least I hope so. It becomes hard what to look for though.

Hi Chris,

All version before the "m", 9m or 9m-1 is the same except that the -1 version does not stop playing.

Thanks Bert
I have already reported just how good 0.9m is but thought you guys had discovered more in m-1. No need to rush to download it now :good:
