Try going into: control panel/system/advanced system settings, then click on settings in the "Performance" box and then select "adjust for best performance". What you describe here has happened to me after I've had XX playing and I try to access the gui after playing in "unattended" mode. After adjusting for "best performance" the gui always "shows up". Hope this helps.

ps: you really should spend the few bucks for the XXplayer, most issues will go away and you won't ever again get a better upgrade in your sound quality for such a small amount of $.

Can't say that I can recall playing anything quite that long. I'm fairly sure Peter will be able to address this issue for you. Here's a 26 minute, 36 second file that works fine here:

Oh, but in general files can be infintely long, and for WAV/FLAC this sure works (looking at the .wav example from boleary). Try Amarok. That's one 60 minute track and this 100% sure works.

So, we can only talk about MP3 here. What about maling be such a file ? (sales at the rest).

I'm afraid you must spend a little effort to make clear better what your problem is here. Is this one problem, two or three ? If more than one, please decribe it separately in a post. Never mind the language, although I know this is sort of a problem too (I heard that quite some times, haha :)).

Try disable UAC

Thank you, nice to hear !

Also great that you found 0.9z-2 to be working for the longer files. This makes it much easier to find the problem !

A bit depending on what you further did to let this work (also see Vista Users ... prepare yourselves ...  (http://www.phasure.com/index.php?topic=209.0)  and cannot run as administrator anymore (http://www.phasure.com/index.php?topic=1334.0), today it is best when you shut off UAC (User Account Control). For W7 : slide the slider down as much as possible.

Leaving it to "run as administrator" can also still work (see second lnk above), but it is hard to tell myself what it takes, because first some (defender ?) upgrade "destroyed" things. But with UAC off there shouldn't be a problem.

Regards,
Peter

PS: Flecko just said it (thanks)

hi Peter, but my question is:

is there any problem running the XXHE without setting it to admnistrator??

With UAC being On ? yes, all over the place.
