............once and today in one hour twice the music stops playing. It happends with a Wav cd wich i have played many time's. It stops playing when the music goes to another track. Same problem here! Sometimes i don't see this error for a while and today it happens in tree albums eg after four or five tracks. I think it make no difference if you play attended or not. Today i was using the PCI Soundcard. Regards, Johan

what type (like WAV. FLAC) is the first album, and what type is the second ?
Both WAV The title bar of your XXHighEnd shows 0.9u-16, right ? See picture I start with Playing1 and it switched automatically to playing2 I have don another test. I have made a copy of the directory of 09u-14 and installed 09u-16 in this directory. Results are the same. See picture "Settings" for the settings of 09u-16

Hi Peter,
Loading an album from the library into the Playlist Area, start playing. I stop during the second track (UnAttended) Bring up XX again, clear the Playlist, load another album from the library. Start playing. When i expecting the third track it switched back (sound and wallpaper) to the third track of the album before. (UnAttended).
I have the impression we are talking about the same problem...
Another thing i have notised is that when i start listening to the next album (unattended) i see in a fraction of a second the old wallpaper.
Version 09u-14 did'nt have this problem.
Regards Johan

Hi Peter, A before Playlist being longer than the current one, now doesn't start playing the remainder of tracks from that curent one (e.g. track 13 of a before Playlist started playing after all 12 tracks from the current one had been played).
It still happens in this version...... Regards Johan

How long did you wait after startup to start XX?
When i had the impression all things were finished i started XX! a few minutes! I suppose you checked your taskmanager too see the progress of the lsass.exe-proces. How long did you wait? I rebooted the system several times, but nothing changed. Johan

Here it is..... Good Luck....
Yesterday i have installed Vista SP1.......it became a disaster. Many hiccups and cracks in the sound. CPU usage for both 65% during use of XX. Strange mouse behavour, shaking, busy indicater. I suppose the system is doing something more, but what? After a de-installion of SP1, all became 'normal'. I now only hear sometimes cracks and hiccups on mine new soundcard. Johan

Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / 09u-14 error

Hi Peter, ........during the load of a next track the Q1 setting is set to 14. After that next track commences playing it is reset to you original setting.
The lowest possible value of Q1 is 21 in mine configuration. Your solution of incrementing Q1 to 14 is causing an Appcrash error in XXHighEnd in every track. When i change Q1 to e.g. 5, all works well without an error. Suggestion, only an increment when Q1<14?!? Regards, Johan

Hi Gerard, Did you install any updates ....? e.g. Vista SP1? I am also looking for a soundcard to try more options in XX (lowering Q1 <21, double, quad, upsampling 24bits 192khz, ...) Budget is €150, Only 2 channel audio! The DDDAC 1543 has its limitations. But the sound is still great!! I don't know if all these new options in XX wil improve the sound. Untill now these are the best options for me: 1) E-MU 1212, 2) ESI Juli@ and 3) Audiotrek Prodigy HD2 : 1) -price (€150) - two cards - , +s/pdif optical & coax (44.1 - 96kHz) ++DAC 2) -no headphone output, - DAC , +price (€130) +s/pdif optical /coax 3) -only s/pdif optical - no sample freq 88.2 kHz, + only 2.0 audio, + price(€100) ++same DAC as 1212 + headphone + opamps upgradable. " Audiotrak Prodigy HD2 is a high quality top product from Audiotrak. There is weak competition in the Hi-End market of sound cards, so the direct rivals are only the X-Fi Elite Pro and the E-MU1212m. Unlike the X-Fi Elite Pro, drivers of the Prodigy HD2 are more professional, and have a simpler control panel than for the E-MU1212m. What concerns games, the card fares in between high quality sound processing in the X-Fi and no 3D audio support in the E-MU1212m. Unlike the E-MU1212m and X-Fi Elite Pro, the ProdigyHD2 is a low-profile card, so it can be used in compact HTPCs. Another advantage of this card versus the 1212m is its built-in preamp for headphones". ( http://www.digit-life.com/articles2/multimedia/prodigy-hd2-gold.html ) I think option 3 is a good choice for the given budget and quality! Johan

Nothing changed in the settings! Long time not seeing, the red cross followed by the .net error.
After a restart of XX the playlist is back and the red cross disappeared
(Only a bios update a week ago)
