Title: Time Stability does not display a value W10074 XX 2.02
Post by: coliny on June 26, 2015, 11:28:25 am
Time Stability does not display a value, it never has since installing W10074. If I click REFRESH it shows "STABLE" but restart XXHE and it goes back to no value displayed.

Hi Colin,

I just looked, and possibly you are not 100% correct on what you say vs what you see. I mean :

When you start up XXHighEnd and go into settings, if it were for me it *always* shows "Use Refresh" before it shows a value in that same place of where the "Use Refresh" shows (which in my case is "Not Stable" because I chose for that - so just saying : that works too, the Not Stabe).

My point is, it would be quite hard to miss that "Use Refresh" and something like "no value displayed" does not exist in my book.

Orrrrrr ?

Peter

PS: The Refresh facility is only there because it takes some time to collect this data for showing it, so I don't collect it automatically.

I reconise something in his question. After every reboot you have too Use refresh first before Stable is showed. I liked to ask that also.

Is that a normal procedure Peter?

 :)

Gerard, not after each reboot, but after each startup of XXHighEnd ...

But this is so for "years" ...
Did something change, apart from that it now shows "W8/W10 :" (instead of "W8 :" only) ?

Apparently something must be confusing ...

Peter

Ah ok... Thought it would stay Stable after Refresh. Always used W7 before W10 apeard.

 :) :)

OK so this is new to me, previously I used W7 so ignored Time Stability.

Default display is:-'                (Use Refresh)'
Press Refresh and it displays :- Stable
After every start of XXHE and also after unattended play I have to press Refresh to display :- 'Stable'

So I take it that's normal behavior.

If I don't press Refresh is it in Stable mode ? and I would only need to press Refresh then Change if I wanted to use 'Not Stable' mode ?

Thanks
Colin

Yes Colin, completely correct.

So the "Refresh" itself does nothing at all (except for showing you the current status. Only the Change does (and after that a reboot really applies the change).

Ahh ... NOW it is clear to me where the confusion came from.
