Title: Loaded sound device not the same as last one saved?
Post by: hf on October 14, 2011, 07:53:21 pm
Hi Peter,

When I start up after a system start or restart I get the warning:
"Watch out (3): Loaded Sound Device is not the same as the last one saved"
It nearly randomly selects one of the other devices. What could this be? Meanwhile I'm not using (or have used) any other sound device; but maybe Windows tries at shut down?

Kind regards,

Hein

Hein,

This happens because you shut off WASAPI support. So, switching from one OS state to the other will change the list of sound devices in your system.

Now I think of it, I think this list will also change if you

- do not reboot at all;
- but switched WASAPI ON before you booted into Minimized that one time;
- next switch WASAPI off and start happily playing.

Now the list of sound devices will change each time you play Unattended.

I don't think this will be your situation, but it would be a problem if so.
