Title: 0.9z - GUI graphic glitches
Post by: Calibrator on May 30, 2010, 06:01:56 am
Have found a few, and I suspect Peter is aware of them, but thought it worthy of listing them here. If others have discovered additional ones, please chime in.

#1.  In maximise mode, the outer half dozen or so pixels are chopped off from all sides.

#2.  The folder art in left panel sometimes extends past the vertical "resize" bar between the left and middle panels. This error seems to occur on first startup or returning from UNattended mode. Minimising/restoring corrects that oversizing.

#3.  Following a "minimise/restore" toggle, the righthand data panel then extends to bottom of GUI screen and is thus overlayed by the lower grey subpanel that contains the "showdata" icon.

Cheers,

Russ

Thank you Russ.

1. indeed is known, but it can't be helped in this setup. No big deal either, is my thinking (correct ?).

2. By itself I know it can happen, but it shouldn't after you set everything to your likings. So, when this happens after brininging up XX, can you post a screenshot of that ?

3. This I don't recognize at all, unless something in that area (and this may be what you mean) which happens after a first startup after an upgrade. But tyou don't talk about that I think. So here too, can you post an example ?

Cheers,
Peter

PS: I knew it from some period in a green car Webber is good. :)

I've just tried it on a another PC and similar anomalies are occurring.

"panel glitch_left" shows the condition immediately after starting XXHE (or coming back from unattended) .

"panel glitch_right" shows the condition following a minimise command.

Note the characteristic of the vertical resize bars has changed, which might be a clue.

Even clicking on the "set panel to font size" button made no difference.

re. #1 , it's not a biggie, but would look nicer that's all. Perhaps you could fudge things a little by putting a transparent border around the whole GUI so that when you maximise it you can still see everything.

O/T P.S.  .... I think some omnipotent being recently swapped Alonso's and Webber's brains

Aha, now I see. So yes, I can copy both.

The right one is a strange one though. Officially minimizing shouldn't do anything ... but it does.

Added to the list. :heat:
