Title: After fresh Win7 Pro installation...
Post by: ivo on September 09, 2012, 11:03:29 pm
Hey,

Is there a place in here that summarizes the main tweaks to OS after it has been installed that lead to better audio on PC?

I remember there was something about USB port poll timing, power management, as well as NTFS....

Thanks,

Ivo

Ivo,

I think that got out of sight since we have Minimized OS. Thus, apply that, and all is applied that I found "necessary". Mind you, this is not all, with that USB poll thing as an example. And there is more of which I have high doubts they work - if not against you in the first place.

Peter

Peter,

Thank you.

A bit off-topic question:
I read PA stuff and I do not know how that will work out in my system and it case it does not (amp DC thing) is version 7 (no PA used) still sounding better than version 6?

Hi Ivo,

Yes. Well, that is what I say, but also what everybody says. So expect it to be so. :)
But of course it was meant to be (outside of PA already !).

Peter
