When I store from EAC into a folder the tracks are just listed Track1, Track2 etc.

In the few I have stored so far I have been through this folder and re-typed the track titles by 'renaming' each track individually. This is a very laborious process.

Is there a better way?

Music on external hard drive with own power supply. Brains of the system is a Raspberry Pi running Moode Audio. The RPI has dedicated Longdog audio linear power supply.
Signal passes first to SW1X Signature USB to SPDIF  converter
Then to SW1X Signature DAC
Then to Stevens and Billington TVC
Then to modified vintage triode amplifier
Then to open baffle speakers with vintage alnico drivers. Grundig tweeter, Saba Greencone midrange, Altec 416 VOTT base.
Everything is silver wired including mains and speaker cables

Am I stupic ... can't find it anymore.
Anyway, this surely can be set to your wishes, within EAC. The screen is similar to the one I showed in the before post.

Am I right in saying that you have to be on the Web to make this happen, and track listings cant just be lifted straight off a CD unhappy

No, you should be able to use it "locally" as well. I never tried it though.
I think you can start at www.freedb.org to check it out.

I'm not sure this is for the unexperienced ... "Downloads" overthere doesn't look promising. I just don't know ! sorry
