Title: For z8 only (don't want to hold up z7)
Post by: charliemb on June 03, 2012, 06:45:57 am
[With Vista 32 Ultimate, 4GB Ram, Pentium Dual Core, and XXHE 0.9z-6-1c]

There are a few minor things that you might want to know about that I've been holding back because I don't want to delay z7.  So these are for z8:

  • Alt-v does NOT go to previous track in Unattended mode
  • The red indicators on buttons are not visible on a TV.  Make the red area larger or use a brighter version of red.  Maybe switch to yellow for on, and black for off.
  • I loose Wifi after I close xxHE when using close all other services (Okay otherwise).  Not only I loose Wifi, but Vista can't find any connections at all.  Of course, this is with Keep Lan Services checked.
  • There is no xx.log file to see the names of processes to keep.
  • last digit of dd:dd for OSD time display is unreadable in Unattended mode.
  • In Unattended mode when progress bar is chosen for OSD time display it's all whacky and unrealiable.
  • When Ctrl-click is used to select individual tracks in track view, sometimes intermediate tracks do not finish playing (playback skips to next track).
  • When "start playback during conversion" is checked, many things go wrong (too many to mention, the entire system becomes unreliable).

Apologies if some of these are not new.

Hi Charlie,

Thanks for your list. I think it is better though to wait for 0.9z-7 and then put the individual topics up when still a problem. One thing for now :

Quote
•When Ctrl-click is used to select individual tracks in track view, sometimes intermediate tracks do not finish playing (playback skips to next track).

If you want, please open a new topic for this, and eleborate somewhat about what is happening here. Can you do that ?

Thanks,
Peter

Yes, only because you insist.  (Was planning waiting until after z7)

Forgot to include this one:

  • Ctrl-Alt-C does  not eject

One more:

  • Alt-G does not toggle or affect the OSD for time, in unattended mode or attended mode.

This is true regardless of the initial state of the settings for this OSD button.  In attended mode, besides no toggle, I get a pop up window that is unrelated to OSD display.   Yes, my xx.ahk file shows !G for time OSD.   No, I have not altered my xx.ahk file otherwise.

Haha, I guess nobody uses these commands. I mean, you are the first to report about these really. And no, I don't use them myself either.

Thanks !
