Title: How to install the remote and recommended tablets
Post by: juanpmar on January 07, 2015, 03:46:12 pm
I wonder if someone uses a remote and how the installation is done. No matter if it is still an imperfect solution. The idea is to participate in finding a way to use the remote and to explain it in an easy way. IŽd like to know also what tablets are recommended.

If we find suitable answers, we will put it in the Useful Topics for others to benefit from it.

Any help will be appreciated

Juan

If you go to the Tutorials (http://www.phasure.com/index.php?board=11.0) and the Remote Control section in there and read all through from top to bottom ...

That should be sufficient.

Hi Peter, the latest tutorials you've written have long been expected and were very necessary, thank you.

I've finally managed to get a new Samsung Tab4 10.1 working as a remote through Microsoft Remote control using my router instead of a second computer. I decided to spend $400 as I'm only using the Tab4 for a remote rather than the latest versions at $800. Tab4 by Wifi to router and Lan ethernet cable from router to Audio PC.

By all accounts online web sites rate the Apple tablets the best but they are the most expensive.

Certainly is a quick response time.

I like to shut my computer down and to do this by remote use Alt - F4 also if you want to restart it.

I've disconnected my monitor, mouse and keyboard from the computer.

Hi Robert,

This wasn't a question, right ?
But what is it about ? Can you really do such a thing ?

Thanks,
Peter

No not a question. Just wanted to shut down computer or restart it in remote mode. In fact I want to do everything in remote connect.

In remote mode you can only disconnect remote connection from start button not shut down or restart.

Is this not a good thing?

In XXHighEnd you can RightClick (= hold longer with finger) the Stop button and choose Shutdown (or Reboot).
But wake up ? no.

Maybe wake up (boot) can be made possible as well through some network interface function ...
