Title: Telling the audio world about XX
Post by: Leo on May 31, 2007, 09:52:42 am
Hello Peter,

in a couple of other forums PC audio is also a hot topic. They probably do not know yet about XX.
Would you mind if I told on Audio Asylum that they should try XX ? I expect that you could get many visitors from that active and serious part of the audio community.

Hi Leo,

Currently I am not doing that myself as of yet. A few reasons for that :

  • The stability for Engine#1 is not okay yet (pressing Next etc.)
  • We need to find solutions for the various install problems, i.e. direct answers. I must be able to deal with all of them !
  • Ditto for "I don't get sound".
  • You all must be able to get rid of the demo version. Currently you can't. :( Most of the work has been done though.
  • I really really like "your" judgements, because I think I can trust them. When hundreds of others come around, I won't know who is who, and I sure wouldn't know by kind of default who uses what equipment. If everybody would say all is great, that's no problem. But when many say it is not so great, it would.
  • In general I have to take a very deep breath. To me it is obvious that the least what will happen is that very many people will start downloading the demo; Now from the, say, 200 from Bert's forum, 25% downloaded the player. Probably many just to look, and obviously a great deal to really look into its merits. Now what will happen with a forum with 2000 members ? or 20,000 ?
So no matter what the reason is for downloading, I can expec that the work coming from it is lineair.

But I expect the upcoming weekend to be ready for it, a bit depending on what you out there come up with.

Thanks Leo,
Peter

You are right Peter!
But as soon as you are ready to have us privileged early adoptors to shout it from the rooftop, do tell us please.

Hi Leo

He he... good remarks.

I already yelled it out in my back-yard of potential XX'ers. But fortunately only to a very few opinion makers. As frome there it will spread by the jungle drums.

However this was not maybe the most clever idea as I made suggestions for a PC-playback system which is neither the right one to start with nor it was explained correctly.  :1eye:

So better we all wait until Peter rises his flag for a go, and advice one source explaining it all and correctly.

Damn good site this one..   :goodjob:

Hi Leo,

Well ... if you think the current procedure ( :this: :this: :this: :)) and all is so that you yourself would dare to get on that roof ...
Yes please ?!

But if you don't think it's ready enough, please say so !

Thank you very much,
Peter

I will do that from tomorrow, first I have to install the non-demo version, install Vista, than enjoy my music like never before. But after that: Rooftop here I come !

Uhohh ...

Leo, since you already got your Activation Code, you apparently asked that for a PC which will not be you Audio PC ? (or maybe it will because on *that* PC you'll install XX ?)

Anyway, if you asked the Code for another PC, on the Audio PC you have to enter the path to that other PC and the location (Activation ... How ? (http://www.phasure.com/index.php?topic=87.0))

I will first use it on my XP laptop and later figure out to get it on my Vista machine. I don't worry. Yet.

And I couldn't resist and set XX  on Audio Asylum allready. Short but nevertheless , the message is out !
