Title: XXhighend mentioned in passing on CA

I read with interest this piece:http://www.computeraudiophile.com/f11-software/fidelizer-features-explanation-22893/

He seems to imply he is ahead of the game, but thats ok lots off distractions for Phasure owners what with DAC tweaks and cables.

Hi Robert,

Thanks for pointing the CA thread about this.

I do use X-windows from time to time, but not for playing music (this on my "all purpose" PC, but just to quiet it when transfering music files from one hard drive to another, or downloading paid music...

Knowing Peter, I am sure that the next stop to quiet the OS would be to turn the switch off ;)

Regards,

Alain

c) Audio thread priority optimization - This is the only and unique feature

Not really. Is in XXHighEnd since about day one (the two Priority settings in XXHighEnd are related to this and they are there since ?).
This can't be anything about dedicating "a" priority to "a" audio thread because several threads exist in a player for this and they must be balanced and optimized for all the processes together. So no-way any external tool can do this. That is, not if we look at how XXHighEnd accomplishes this all. And as a matter of fact this improves each time, which already is necessary per different OS (and service pack of it). Is also related to the number of cores and such, which differs per PC of course.

Nice try, but ...

Peter
