For those of you popping in here for a quick look, do not leave without trying this unique piece of audio software, it will change the way you hear music. I'm sure those of you searching for a good front end will already have equipment capable of discerning the difference between a drum and a trumpet! What you get with XX is much more a feeling of where the music was recorded, atmosphere. But the XXtra factor is this, I perceive my soundstage to be a "cube" of lets say 4metres wide, 2metres tall & 2metres deep. Since XX the depth has increased another metre, however the really impressive part is that the whole cube has moved toward my chair by about metre or more (the standing wave thing?) making it so much more immersive & dare I say real... If you want a no-frills quality audio player that beats the rest hands down, you're in the right place. (El Bert is still my hero, but you've done a fine job here Peter) Happier Jack |
