Title: Server Issue?
Post by: acg on December 02, 2015, 10:18:31 am
Hi Peter,

I am trying to setup Tidal and am having trouble loading the images from your Tidal tutorials.  I have tried three browsers, three o/s's and two internet providers and the images just will not show but the text seems fine.

Just wondering if there is a server issue on your end that is causing this?

Regards,

Anthony

Hi there Anthony,

I can't be sure, but most probably you're just seeing XXHighEnd bugs;

It is actually later than when 2.03 was put out that I saw that it is quite easy to look at old data. Or better put : not refreshing while it should. Example (maybe not 100% correct) :

If you search for an Artist and a list pops up, and next search for a next one, then the former list becomes a kind of obsolete, but the coverart icons still show (with a large X in them). This is all also related to you deleting the former list, or not.

I can proceed a bit on this, but first I need to know whether you really exactly *never* see any pictures (and always the X'es only).

A server on my side does not exist.
The structure of the Tidal servers is unclear to me and, for example, I had to find out myself that the server for the Coverart is another than the server for the meta data and music. IOW, chances are even fair that in Australia things are dealt with differently. Read : the server I use for the Coverart is formally not the right one. But otherwise it does not work over here.

Hi Peter,

I have not got to using tidal yet...I am still trying to go through the tutorials on your website (in Chrome/IE/Safari) and it is the images on your website for the Tidal tutorials that I cannot see.

Arrrggghh ... I didn't read well, did I ?

I see. And I also know what the problem will be; an update yesterday afternoon of my Internet will have changed the IP Address of the server concerned.

Give me 90 minutes ...

Peter

No IP address changed, but it should be working again.

And Anthony, thank you for letting me know about this.
