Title: 0.9z-6 - Position of Minimize OS button
Post by: JohanZ on September 12, 2011, 09:12:30 am

This button is under the right pane and is called "Minimize OS" (shown in the active state below).

Hi Peter,
I'm still using that 8" lcd screen (640x480). For ages I can't use that right pane. I now have a problem to use this new button <minimise OS>. When I make the the left pane smaller, I can see a small part of the right pane but not this button. Isn't it a strange place for this setting button?

Regards Johan

Johan,

Honestly, I didn't think about this. But also : I didn't think about this "forever". I mean, more is there (and I don't think you ever mentioned that ?).

Ok, now what. There's no HotKey for it either, although that should be easy to create (and send a separate XX.ahk config file). But not really the solution ...

Must think ...
Sorry for now Johan.
Peter

What about another sliding down pane ? Would that do ? I think so ...

That 'sounds' better!

Ok, will do.

For now ... :scratching: ...

Why wouldn't it be possible to slide the whole XX window to the left a bit ? This may need a bit of fuzzing around, which first needs to UNmaximize the screen (undoubtedly you will have it maximized now). I'm not sure how W7 responds to this, because what can be shifted left/right in XP can't be done (infinitely) in W7 (and Vista I think). So :

Cause the XX window to be just somewhat smaller than the screen, and now move it to the left (grab te title bar).
Now you should be able to use the button ...

Let me know !
Peter

I haven't found a solution for this button. Moving the xx window doesn't work. Is it possible to post a new xx.ahk file for the 'hidden' buttons?

Hey Johan,

What do you mean by "moving the window doesn't work" ?

Sorry for the obvious question ...

Peter

I'm using your words "Cause the XX window to be just somewhat smaller than the screen, and now move it to the left (grab te title bar)." from two posts back.

And now you seem to think that I know what doesn't work.

Well, I do not. sorry.

........., i can not use this minimise os button because mine lcd screen is to small to show me the right pane. I want to reset this minimised os. I have seen this button one time during the setup of xx. Is it possible to send a new xx.ahk config file for this hidden buttons.
? Better to give me the Ipad controle over the audiopc. In that case i see the right pane. ;)

When I make this XX window smaller then the screen and then I move it to the left, I can not stretch the right site of this window. No reaction! The only solution is to switch from 640x480 to 800x600 resolution but then I can not reconise the buttons on a that 8" screen. I hope that this clarifies the situation.

Ahaa ...

But indeed, that is what I had in mind earlier, as what's changed since Vista. Before, a "form" coult be rather infinitely wide and it could be done by dragging the right edge (or left), but this is not possible anymore ... (you just testified)

Ok, now I understand what is happening. Thanks.
