Title: Remote command for Volume Up and Down doesn´t work
Post by: juanpmar on September 18, 2011, 12:17:58 pm
Hi Peter,

Remote command for volume up and down (Alt+U and Alt+D) doesn´t work using Unattended,  Monitor Off and Minimize OS. To use the remote command I have to start XXHighEnd.
The other remote commands seems to work properly.

No "Interrupt out of order" messages ?

Please apply Alt-U (or -D) during Unattended, and one minute after this was applied and nothing happened, grab the log files (XX, X3, X3PB) and post them please.
Monitor can be left On.

Thanks !
Peter

Additionally : Is this Alt-U etc. on the keyboard, or via an actual remote ?

And, make the "XX log file" the last two (most new) of them !

So, that will be 2x XX, 1x X3 and 1x X3PB.

- No messages at all

- Where are the XX, X3 and X3PB files?. Sorry, but I can´t find them.

- The commands are on the keyboard

- Again I don´t know how to find the "XX log file".

Thanks, Juan

You need to have 'logging' active. Look at the very bottom of your configuration options to enable it.

After that is done, you will see a folder in your 'install' folder called 'Temporary' ( i think it's called). You will find the log files ( which are in plain text format actually) in there.

Bundle up those Peter needs, either in a zip or individually, and attach to a post in this thread.

Cheers,

Russ

Thank you Juan. The log files tell much. But no clue yet what actually is going on.

For now : just set the Volume to maximum, so you can be sure you don't need to set it higher.

:swoon:
