Title: Problem with the second track
Post by: juanpmar on January 04, 2012, 11:02:50 pm
Hi Peter, I have a problem with the second track. After the first track is finished, I receive two messages "No Track given" and "Fail! No Track Data found" . If I turn on again XXHighEnd and select that second track then I have no problem with that track or the following. This only occurs when passing from the first track to the second one.

I´m not sure if I read something about this issue in some posts, sorry but I can´t find it

Juan

Hi, these messages look familiar. I didn't  notice it was the second track.

My impression is that I encounter these only at specific (flac) albums maybe even specific tracks. Sometimes my entire playlist pays without these messages. Rebooting helps.

I will keep track from now on.

Regards, Coen

Hi Coen,

All my tracks are wav and it happens just since a few days ago, never happened before. On the other hand I´m making some important changes in the OS like partitions, besides testing different cd-roms. Maybe some of this has affected the XX configuration. The sound is great though.

I´m not sure yet if it happens with all my albums or only with some.

Hi Juan,

Seems totally odd to me. Impossible actually.

If you can copy this behaviour, please post the XX, X3 and X3PB log files from such a situation; wait for the message appears ("didn't start in time") and then grab the log files.

Are you sure you didn't mix XXHighEnd versions (for the XXHighEnd.exe and the remainder) ? You wouldn't be the first one ...

Regards,
Peter

Thanks Peter. Well, today I played around 10 albums and everything was fine. I haven´t mixed different versions for sure because I´m using the last one since it appeared but I overwrote a couple of times this last version and installed the drivers three or four times when I had to reboot, unplug, etc the computer due to the problems I mentioned with the missing hdd in the bios.

If it happens again I´ll look for those log files (although I did it before once, now I don´t remember where they are, I´ll ask in such a case).

Switch logging on in advance (like today). You will find them in the TemporaryData folder under your XX folder ...

I meant : switch it on now, or otherwise you will be behind the facts. Obvious of course ... :)

Hi Peter,

It happens sometimes with me too but not necessarily with the second track only.

Other times I have noticed that a playlist does not start playing at all & a window appears saying " Set point error......pause....." After a reboot all is well.

Both the problems are not very frequent, but next time i see them I will post the log files.

Hi Arvind,

Quote
" Set point error......pause....."

Is this a literal message ? I really never heard of it !!

Thanks,
Peter

Hi Peter,

Not literal but something to this effect. Next time I see it I will post the exact words.

Hi Peter,

I got the same problem with second track today. I played 24/192 album, and got message "No track:, or similar, than "The file does not exists" or something. On second trial everything was OK.

Hey Jarek,

Regarding your other post about upsampling to 192 ...
I assume you play this at Arc Prediction 768, right ?

And, Attended or Unattended ?

Thanks,
Peter
