Title: Coverart and Phase Alignment signal
Post by: Robert on September 09, 2012, 03:59:15 am
I don't use cover art at all. It would be great if you had a permanent means somewhere that would tell us whether PA is engaged or not.

Using version 709 I can't get cover art to work but using phase + it sounds better than 7-3 which I downloaded today but have not engaged PA. 7-3 only lasts 4 songs then stops using the same settings as in my profile and with 709.

Is a CD cover enough to get cover art working or do I need more data?

7-3 does load much quicker under unattended than 709. Also 709 does not have the button Allow phase alignment. Did this version not have PA so all I've done is activate Phase?

put the cd cover jpg in the same folder as your music file or in its own folder under the folder your music file is in.  Name the picture
folder.jpg
and it will work as the front cover.

I understand. But sadly that is impossible because the sound engine has no user interface means.

Dave is correct. Notice though that it doesn't need real Coverart to show "Coverart", which always at least will show the "no Coverart present" picture (black screen with a large X).

I can't tell anymore about the 709 beta version. And the quicker loading of 0.9z-7-3 is because something was "slow" in the previous versions because of a bug.

Not much help, but hopefully still a little ...
