Title: 0.9z-7-3 FLAC files problem
Post by: arvind on September 16, 2012, 08:45:09 am
Hi Peter,

When playing FLAC files, playback stops within seconds or sometimes in 10/15 mins. Tried killing engine #3 & playing again but it doesnt help.

Attached are the XX & X3PB logs.

Best regards,

Arvind

Arvind,

The only thing I can imagine is that your SFS is fairly low (like under 10) and then this can be expected (it depends a bit on the PC but also on further (Q1 etc.) settings).
Unless you received some kind of message (?).

I derive this from your "within seconds".
So, what is your SFS ?

Regards,
Peter

Hi Peter,

SFS is 2 as it says in my signature. All other settings too as per sig.

Best regards,

Arvind

Arvind,

I have just finished looking into your "Failed to set the Samle Rate" message (0.9z-7-3 Sample Rate not set  (http://www.phasure.com/index.php?topic=2257.0;all)) and there is no way I can let that message happen. I looked in there regarding the topic here ... Why ? because the log file tells that it stops in there ...

By now I built in another few log messages, but that is for the next time.

Okay, so IMO your SFS is too low to let it go OK by guarantee. But, don't ask me where it stops working (re the log files) because I never looked into that. And, I did not do that because all is very critical anyway. Thus, it can happen here too. Notice though that it has been reported that it helps when Garbage Collection (Settings) is deactivated (yes, I asked you before how that is set, but I forgot).

Can't say more ...
(but see your other topic about the Sample Rate)

Peter

Hi Peter,

Incude Garbage Collect is deactivated. If activated there is no playback.

Best regards,

Arvind
