Seems to happen when XXHighEnd is started the first time after the install (of an upgrade in its new folder). So, taskbar icon is there, but no XXHighend screen. Is that your sitiation sinister ? Nothing like that but perhaps related ... ? XX does not come back after playing a playlist unattended. The screen remains dark and I have to Alt-X to get all activated again (incl. Windows). As said, coincidentally someone else had the same day before yesterday, and although it was solved for him too, I actually have no clue how it got solved. Yea, "just install it again", like you said.
