After the 3rd (sometimes the 2nd) I hear a tick each 10 seconds (or so). Without volume normalisation there is no problem (playing a whole CD neither). The problem comes with changing the Volume by XX itself to normalise in between tracks "in need for" the adjustment. You've heard these ticks once on the X-fi, it is still unchanged for me. The two loud ticks are not the same as the "blobs" described elswhere making woofers move their diaphragm. This was a volume change of at least 9dB and that seems to be a jump too big? So, if this is related to different albums and Normalization ... seems difficult to find (and I guess difficult to mimic). Thanks ... Always has AFAIK. This doesn't prevent me from looking into it of course. But as said/implied : something which can't be mimiced (because it just doesn't happen like that here) is tough to solve.
