Title: Recording Streaming Software
Post by: stefanobilliani on October 17, 2012, 06:21:25 pm
Hi all ,

recently I came across a software called " Sound Tap Streaming Audio Recorder " ;

It is a software that is able to record ( up to 96kHz 32 bit ) ANY stream that is playing on the PC .

I have a question open to the forum just for curiosity: If the Kernel Streaming #4 Engine should have priority to all the audio reproduction , how come that the software can record indipendently the stream ?

What "position " will he occupie between XX High End and the dac since it is not dependent on windows audio servicies ?

Thanks in advance

stefano

Hi Stefano,

Not sure how to answer your last question (or what you actually want to know) but recording as such is possible while playback in Exclusive Mode is going on. So, this doesn't seem strange to me at all ...

Regards,
Peter
