Title: Reboot Minimized OS issue on Vista
Post by: charliemb on January 10, 2013, 05:13:03 am
Under Vista and 09z-8a, or 8e, I'm having a similar problem, but it is different.

First, I am activated  because I can change processor scheme.

When I attempt to minimizeOS, after the restore, I get this error:
  "Couldn't read M-Value 02 : PC : 2"

Then I get an error that starts with:
"Something went wrong with preserving ..."

...and then stays in Normal OS mode
=====

The above may have something to do with whenever I enter the setup screen (S) I get these two errors, one right after the next:
"Error 02 reading Value : TI : 2"
and
"Error 02 reading Value : ID : 2"

What's happening?

Oops Charlie, this smells like not being Vista compatible. Uh-oh.

Now we (or you) are really in bad luck, because while I may be able to solve it for Vista, I don't own any Vista machines anymore. And this will be 100% needed. So all I can do is disallow XTweaks for Vista ...

Charlie,

I didn't look into the exact sequence of your messages, but have the idea that the reboot into Minimized just can work. So, messages appear, but after that the reboot just goes along.
If this is correct you don't need much more at this moment.

??

Peter

Oops.
Anyway, working on it now.

Charlie,

Below there's an XXHighEnd.exe for 0.9z-8f. Paste over your XX folder with 0.9z-8e in there. Only when that 0.9z-8e version is your current version this is allowed.

Btw, all XTweaks are indeed not Vista (or earlier) compatible; I never thought about that. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Had to change dozens of routines for it and I can't test it really. Let me know if you are all right now regarding this.

Thanks and regards,
Peter

Ah!  Thanks!  What a great turnaround time.  I'll try it tonight.
