Took me an hour & half to install the upgraded oscillators. It went of smoothly thanks to the detailed instructions sent by you. To all the guys who are still with the older oscillators my advice is go ahead with the upgrade. The SQ is significantly improved. Regards, Johan Title: Re: Oscillator upgrade Post by: Leo on September 18, 2013, 03:05:54 pm After three failed attempts to send the new oscillators by Dutch mail (there are some very keen audiophiles among the dutch postmen) I finally got hold of them by visiting the x Fi fair in Veldhoven and receiving them in a nicely wrapped package personally from Ciska and Peter.
Starting with the extensive but also slightly intimidating instructions I went ahead. Allthough I managed to get one of the legs unsoldered from the first oscillator (pff, just keep up normal breathing here, oi oi oi, stay calm , don't grab an axe and destroy the tiny enemy) I got everything installed and sorted out. 55 minutes from start to finish. And presto no fifo errors and even better sound. |
