Title: Cannot Minimize OS
Post by: Henk on September 29, 2013, 02:54:34 pm
Hi Peter,

I just got around to upgrade from version 09-z7 to 09-z9b (including the patch) and found that I cannot minimize the OS, it tells me that I must contact Phasure.

I had a look around the other messages here and saw you told Mark that it is probably Windows Defender related. I am using Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit and confirmed that the Windows Defender service is disabled.

I think I saw somewhere that the problem could also be activation? I made sure the new version is activated, since I can choose the Processor Assignment?

As a test, I ran version 09-z7 again and found that it could minimize the OS without a problem.

I also had a look at the log file and could not see any error report by version 09-z9b. The relevant part (I think  ;) ) is as follows:

14:13:36.6794310 : Kill initiated : RemoveFromMemory
14:13:36.6794310 : X3Quit.dat created
14:13:36.7886312 : XXEngine3 Externally removed from memory
14:13:36.7886312 : ShutOff 01
14:13:36.8042312 : ShutOff 03
14:13:36.8198312 : ShutOff 04
14:13:53.2986611 : Start WakeUp Drive : C:\
14:13:53.2986611 : End WakeUp Drive : C:\
14:13:53.7510619 : Connected to Mains Power
14:14:18.6331056 : Restore Point created : XXHighEnd Normal OS
14:14:23.0551136 : Kill initiated : RemoveFromMemory
14:14:23.0551136 : ShutOff 01
14:14:23.0551136 : ShutOff 03
14:14:23.0551136 : ShutOff 04

Anything else I can try?

Regards,
Henk

Hi Henk,

Say that you were sure to have your 0.9z-9b activated, but did you actually actively do that ? This is necessary you know.
So, apply your Code from 0.9z-7 to 0.9z-9b ...

Did you ? It does not look like it.
Regards,
Peter

Hi Peter,

I tried activating twice before I posted here but could not get the wallpaper with the red border. (I remember something like this happening with the previous version but I got it working somehow.) Since I could not use the  Processor Core Appointment Scheme before my attempt at Activation and could after my attempt, I did not suspect activation was an issue.

But of course, after you suggested it, Activation works perfectly with red borders and all!  :blush1:

Thanks Peter, it works now.

Regards,
Henk
