Hey Stanly, looks nice ...

Now if those guys could add a search facility which combines something like

"Hires of any kind", Genre, "Availability in my country"

... then I wouldn't have spent just 20 minutes in album per album examining whether it's hires in the first place, and to notice that maybe less than 10% of it all can be obtained here.

Maybe I'm a bit behind on Hires ;) but it looks like Warner really pulled the trigger on this (I think this was promised a while ago), and about the others ? I yet have to see how real hires the Hires is. I suddenly see too many labels coming up with this, and from era's and formats which make me wonder.
Still I see enough in there which is trustful to have the idea that all can be trusted.
And as said : I am well behind on the status of REAL Hires.

Thanks,
Peter

PS: These prices won't bother me for sure !

Peter,

It's a German site, isn't it? So why are the albums not obtainable "here" (in NL)?

I think HiresAudio isn’t a name that covers their content, for many albums are in Flac44 as they call it.

They do have a nice collection of music for my taste on the ECM and ACT labels. These modern recordings generally have good sound IMO, and sometimes at Flac48 and Flac96.

Many older (analogue) recordings on “highres” are doubtfull I think, and not necessary for XXHE users.

Regards,

Stanley

You can select "Studiomaster" for various resolutions, but not also per genre.

Furthermore they state:

"Quality-guarantee: The high-resolution music, that you purchase from us is guaranteed native (true original) 24bit Studio Master material. We have signed with all music labels, artists and artist-agencies contracts to assure exactly that. We do not accept nor offer up-sampled or converted material. Our quality-control checks and evaluates each album with a professional studio software! You will receive and buy only true original 24bit Studio Master files from us."

Interesting I think. I will try some downloads.
