Title: Navigation problem ipad 2 after ios7 upgrade?
Post by: JohanZ on September 30, 2013, 09:49:04 pm
Hi Peter,
I have the feeling that i have a navigation problem on your site with my ipad2 after the ios7 upgrade. I.e. Go to the release notes of the last version of xxhe on your site and move your thump down or up to scroll. Sometimes the screen does not move. I have seen this now a couple of times. Its on specific places, i think. Known problem? Site update....
Best regards,
Johan

Hi Johan,

I am using an iPad with the current iOS to navigate this site and not having any issues.  More likely that the issue is your end and caused by the iOS update unless others are having a problem as well.

Regards,

Anthony

Hi Johan,

I will try to see anomalies from here.
All I know is that looking from a huge distance I can right away see that the iOS update here (iPad2) causes "stuttering" which I did not see before. But I never touch the thing so I don't care and didn't look into it.

Will let you know,
Peter

Johan,

I see the same happening here. My first notice : the whole thing (I mean all sites) has lost its smoothness. So, I saw that from the distance already, and certainly "feel" it when controlling the thing myself. However, when I propose the same thing to Ciska here she refuses to see it.

Then I scrolled this forum and the thing got stuck, and next I am told that this is my finger. Yea, right. Still she moves all in all directions while I can show that it gets stuck quite easily (but reattempt and it goes again).

In the end I don't see the real problem, except for that it's now behaving like an Android.

Peter

Hi again Johan,

http://www.hypable.com/2013/09/20/ios-7-update-dizzy-thin-text-battery-life-sounds/
(but here on my PC this link doesn't work, on the iPad it does)

Try to find (in Settings I think) :
General -> Accessibility -> Reduce Motion and set this On.
This probably fixes it.

What we also did was deactivate the Control Center from the bottom (swipe), and not sure whether this is related :
General -> Control Center and in there deactivate Access on Lock Screen plus Access Within Apps.

Here all looks normal again now (except for the thin looks - this is also dealt with in that link).

Regards,
Peter
