Title: Minimise OS with 1.186
Post by: Leo on January 07, 2014, 01:08:59 pm
Hello Peter,

After first going back to normal OS with the 0.9 version I installed 1.186 (not 'a' version at that moment). I copied the . dat áctivation' file into the new folder. If I recall  correctly the letters on top of the screen turned to red (I am not 100% sure about this but I think they were red) and I could set all parameters as I normally can with an activated XX. However when I tried to minimise OS I got the message cannot minimize , you should contact Phasure.
Instead  :blush1: I tried to minimise the OS with the existing .9 version which succeeded.
Starting up 1.186a I got the message 'something wrong with OS, present status of minimise button reflects actual situation' (or some wording like that). The button indicated mimised OS, red line in button. However the red letters on top of the screen indicating activation were gone. I can select all parameters like an activated system but it will stop playing after a while as with unactivated.
Sorry for not acting on the first warning message but I guess I was too curious about the new steps in SQ.
What could be my next steps now? A new activation code? Or should first be clear why minimising OS does not work with my new 1.186(a) ?

Leo

Hi Leo,

I experienced a similar problem (for the first time). Got the "Contact Phasure". I did not want to talk to Peter ;) So I asked for a new activation code and it worked that time.

Hope this helps :)

Alain
Edit: I could be wrong, but I don't think that copying the .dat file works, even if it seems to allow some functions to work (that normally don't while not activated)...

Correct.
You must use de Code in that file for Activation. So, this needs to be done explicitly.
Leo, you can still try whether that works. But use the a version. And otherwise obtain a new Code. You know how to do it. :)

Regards,
Peter
