(http://www.stordiau.nl/orelo/IMG_0621a.JPG) As mentioned elsewhere, this piano black (see right side) really doesn't allow for good photos. It's reflectoins all over. (http://www.stordiau.nl/orelo/IMG_0647b.JPG) That's better. The boards you see on the back are (top to bottom) for filter adjustment, input selection, power inlet/switches + USB input (for DSP). (http://www.stordiau.nl/orelo/IMG_0637a.JPG) And one with normal ambient light. (http://www.stordiau.nl/orelo/IMG_0626b.JPG) Here you see how the back stand actually holds the woofers while the beam in the middle connects to the baffle. And : (http://www.stordiau.nl/orelo/IMG_0627a.JPG) How the woofers are not fit into the baffle (see empty screw holes in the baskets). (http://www.stordiau.nl/orelo/IMG_0662d.JPG) Top woofer. (http://www.stordiau.nl/orelo/IMG_0657a.JPG) And the bottom woofer; the back stand rests on the floor (or your anti vibration means) and it allows the lot to stand upright without the wings mounted. Notice that the finish of the back stand can be chosen to your likings, as actually everything can be chosen; this here is matte gray spray painted but it can also be vineer of your choice. All is included, but any high gloss finish (like piano black) comes at an additional price (depending on exactly what is to be finished in high gloss). Manuf’s like MBL, Marten, Tidal etc. with their expensive models (between >100K and 400K) are using two separate additional woofer columns. It seems that these additional woofers are creating the last “kick” of the SQ. Comparing then the Orelo MKII with the a.m. brands they are a bargain. Joachim |
