Title: Pseudo Orelino for 2.5K USD
Post by: Mamba315 on May 12, 2014, 07:12:07 pm
Spatial Hologram M2 - http://www.spatialaudio.us/hologram

Impulse ordered a pair of these speakers (Turbo model) as a personal introduction to open-baffle sound.  They recently debuted at the AXPONA show here in the States and received some very positive comments.

I do not claim they will sound as good as the Orelinos (nevermind the Orelo MKII's).  Bass extension is much less, among the other differences.  I was just noticing that the basic concept shares some similarities (several large, OB mounted dynamic drivers per channel plus compression driver).

However, these have a 45 day trial and 20 year warranty.  Seems like a good deal for those who want to check out open baffle sound without spending too much.  I should have mine in about a month.

Ha ! nice.
I wonder where that compression driver is hidden ?

But 45Hz ? maybe not. But who needs that. ;)

Thank you for sharing Matt.

Top driver is a coaxial.
