Title: Will SQ be diffferent when offline ?
Post by: Gerard on December 05, 2007, 10:56:46 am
Hi All,

I just nodiced that when you are offline (wireless) the spike´s in the second core (Schema 3) are less/smaller.
So maybe it affects the SQ a bit when you are online???... (Did not try LAN connection)

Now the question is : what do you mean with "offline" ?

Ah ...
Hmm ... Well, I never bothered myself with these kind of things. But I guess I should. And (for me) there's also just the LAN.

Note though that the wireless (Wifi !) connection can incur for much more misery than a normal cable connection. E.g. it could well be that from there all your CPU useage came (comes) ... and it certainly can cause "hickups" in sound (them possibly ending up in distortion). This is my experience by hear-say.

hello sorry for reviving such an old topic but i have a question:
I noticed on my computer that when I'm connected to the internet the music is much more noisy then in offline (without cable!!) mode. but I do not want to remove the cable all the time when listening to my music. will it be possible to include a button to turn off the internet, something like an "offline-mode"?

Yes, with the possibilities of today it can be done in a whimp. Consider it done.
Not right now, but soon.

Thank you for the suggestion. I sure believe it.
(never shut off the Internet myself though, so I'm already excited what comes from it :)).
