Title: new JRiver feature passing audio through
Post by: TimDH on November 22, 2014, 11:03:57 pm
New Windows version of JRiver has ability to route audio apps through JRiver, such as Spotify, Tidal etc.  I wondered if it would route XXHighEnd also to my NOS1a?

I am totally comfortable with XXH but my wife and kids find it baffling and being able to run JRiver would enhance family happiness.

"When you install MC 20.0.41 or higher, a WDM driver is also installed.

In Windows Control Panel > Sound, you can set Media Center as the default device.

This means Media Center will capture any output from any program.  It will capture the output to the active zone.  You're free to use any and all the DSP richness of Media Center on the stream."

Hey Tim - Yes, that would work I suppose (with WDM).
