Doesn't happen here ...
Maybe a small difference : I use the audio PC over RDC. But if all is right that should not matter.

Still occurs after a reboot ?

Peter

I do not use RDC yet.

A thing to try (could be a bit scary) :

Bring up XXHighEnd and usual;
Kill AutiHotkey (can be done from the Taskbar tray - choose Exist).
Start Playback.

You won't be able to stop the sound now, unless Esc still does it.
haha
But at least we then know it doesn't come from AutoHotkey.

Ctrl-Shift-Esc brings up TaskManager. And from there you can kill XXEngine3.exe (stops the sound). But I think from there a reboot will be necessary.

If you don't want to do this ... no problem !

First: tried this, and it did not do any difference because autohotkey autostarted when playback started.

Brought up taskManager under playback and killed autohotkey, then the esc-button did not stop playback. logged of With ctrl-alt-del, logged on, and everything was like before, the Esc button immedeately stopped playback.

Actually it does not bother me, but I think you wanted to know.

Kind regards
Arnt

Thank you for your attempts Arnt.
But how strange ...

Can you email me the XX.ahk file you use please ?

When I open TaskManager while playback is running, I can shut it down With the Esc button. That maybe means that it shut Down the last used (started) program, and have nothing to do With ahk at all?

 Arnt,

Completely forgot to respond to your sent file : Saw nothing abnormal in it.

About your suggestion : yes that can happen, but isn't so always; Depends on the program and the situation in there at least. But TaskManager does that, yes. XXHighEnd (gui) does not.

Point is also : you say that the sound stops. So in the direction of your suggestion - XXEngine3.exe should then have vanished (see TaskManager). Has it ?

But I'd say that you already have proven that AutoHotkey is doing this to you. But how ?
XXHighEnd does not start at that happening, does it ?

In your XX folder there's a Remote.dat file (doesn't exist always but in your situation it can if only XXHighEnd does not fire (and then still it can exist)). What's in there after the happening ? For example after an Alt-u there will be a "u" in there. So you'll understand.

Edit : You can also switch on logging before you start playback and after the happening (do not start XXHighEnd) grab the XX, X3 and X3PB log newest files; they're in the TemporaryData subfolder to your XX folder. You can post (attach) them in here if you like.
If XXHighEnd auto-started grab the last/newest two XX files
