Title: Error having a too long path (+260 characters).
Post by: BertD on February 20, 2015, 07:22:04 pm
This stalls the extraction of making Galleries and the whole selection has to be done all over again. Somehow it does not recognise previous extracted directories making things even more time consuming. :(

Bert,

I think that you know what the problem is : too long files. And yes, a bit too bad if you now run this for the first time.

Hint : Make your Galleries Names as short as possible. But obvious of course.

I can put this on the ToDo for the next version, so the messages about it end up in the log files only (then for you to check). But this will not be ready "tomorrow".
Btw, I had thought that such processes would end up with log entries only, but apparently not.

Well, :sorry: ...
Peter

If not for me (my Galleries will be done by then!) then for somebody else in the future.

PS: Why do I recall that all errors from this end up in the Log File only ? most probably because I did this all already several months ago. But I will check it.

PPS: Hint-2 : Skip the Classical for now. ;)

PPPS : Regarding your last post : It is not that bad ... I went through the process myself.  ;) ;)

It was the Jazz... Classical did OK (from a first trial this afternoon).

And that makes it less bad?  :grazy:
